About Claire Ballentine
Originally from Yorkshire, England, Claire spent many years wandering far beyond her roots. She was lucky enough to work on mega yachts in the Mediterranean, sail the Atlantic, and eventually settle in the stunning Whitsundays in North Queensland, Australia.
Now back in her motherland, she is happily ensconced on her narrowboat in Cheshire, where she writes surrounded by peace, endless cups of tea, and the occasional passing duck.
A lifelong reader with a soft spot for historical romance — dreamy settings, witty banter, simmering tension and glorious happily-ever-afters — Claire eventually plonked her bum in a chair and began writing the kind of Regency romances she’s always adored… and has no intention of stopping.
She is the author of the Regency Romance series The Unobtainables, including The Duke With No Smile, The Morose Marquess, and the forthcoming The Earl of Intrigue.
